We are beyond excited and truly humbled to share that The Kidz Kitchen has been named the 2025 Cooking School of the Year by Children’s Culinary Institute, our professional organization made up of cooking schools from across the country and around the world. What an incredible honor!
The Kidz Kitchen began as a simple idea many years ago—one sparked by Chef Rose’s lifelong love of cooking and baking, and her 30-year career as a speech-language pathologist. By blending her passion with her profession, she created a program where children don’t just learn how to COOK, but also learn to CREATE, COMMUNICATE, COLLABORATE, and grow in CONFIDENCE.
In just two short years, our community has embraced this vision in the most amazing way. Weekend classes and summer camps regularly sell out, and watching our Junior Chefs thrive in the kitchen has been more rewarding than we ever imagined.
We are equally proud of the way The Kidz Kitchen gives back. From donating canned goods to local food pantries, to baking dog treats for animal shelters, to recently cooking alongside residents at a local assisted living community during the holidays—service and connection are at the heart of what we do.
We are grateful to Chef Arlena Strode, founder of Children’s Culinary Institute, whose encouragement and support have meant so much. Being part of this inspiring network of professional and home cooks continues to fuel our growth and passion.
As 2025 comes to a close, we reflect with gratitude on taking that leap of faith—stepping outside of a comfort zone and turning an idea into a reality. Thank you to our families, Junior Chefs, community, and supporters for believing in us. This honor belongs to all of you!

Chef Rose went all out with the theme of the session making it feel like the kids really traveled to that country which in turn sparked further conversations at home.
